Prosthetic Wings

Description

This....came out more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be. This is officially my pride and joy, it's absolutely...

Notes: It is not a he, nor a she. It doesn't have a belly button because it wasn't born, so it doesn't need one.
The wing is mahogany wood with a red leather skeleton exterior and brass joints. Top of the line and a shameful addition to any angel's appearance.

Also, it's second wing is modeled after a Mourning Dove, just so you get the allusion.

The horns were just a random addition that I just couldn't bear to get rid of. They fit the image. I couldn't tell you why.

As for the background: *dies*
I didn't think I could do it, but I did. Grass is always hard, but a feild of grain? Woof. But I did it.
I used a hard brush this time vs. a soft and I think the difference is...monumental. It looks so much better, I will never go back.

Pllleeeeaaassssee if you comment on this, leave a little more content than just "awesome!" I like feedback ^_^

I feel I should note some of the symbols in this too. Because I think too much. The wooden wing is supposed to be a shameful thing, something that shouldn't have happened. So the angel is isolated by its disability. This is represented by the feild.
Because its wooden and because its such a symbol of embarassment and dishonor, I wanted the replacement wing to be heavy in the veiwer's eye. So it's droopy to convey a weight, like a burden. However the feathered wing is held high, it's light and proud, as if it were better than the prosthetic. In this way, I'm showing that the original wing is better than the fake, and therefore originality better than pretending.

The background looks good. The angel is well done also.
